Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all Textology wholesale voice, SIP, number and call-routing services.

1. Lawful use

Customers may use the services only for lawful, legitimate and authorized business communication.

2. Prohibited traffic

Customers may not use Textology services for:

  • Illegal robocalling
  • Unlawful telemarketing
  • Calls without legally required consent
  • Do not call violations
  • caller ID spoofing
  • Unauthorized caller ID use
  • Fraud
  • Phishing
  • Impersonation
  • Scam campaigns
  • Harassment
  • Threats
  • Extortion
  • Hate or abusive activity
  • False or misleading claims
  • Traffic pumping
  • Artificially generated traffic
  • Revenue-share fraud
  • Unauthorized call forwarding
  • Grey-route or bypass activity
  • Sim-box operations
  • Wangiri or missed-call fraud
  • Calls designed to evade carrier controls
  • Traffic prohibited by an underlying carrier
  • Any activity violating applicable law.

3. Consent and telemarketing

Customers are solely responsible for:

  • Obtaining required consent
  • Maintaining consent records
  • Honoring opt-out requests
  • Maintaining internal do not call lists
  • Following calling-time restrictions
  • Complying with federal, state and international telemarketing laws.

The ftc's telemarketing sales rule restricts deceptive telemarketing, do not call violations and many prerecorded sales calls.

4. Caller ID

Customers must use only authorized caller IDs.

Customers may not:

  • Alter caller ID to mislead recipients
  • Use numbers belonging to unrelated businesses
  • Use invalid or unallocated numbers
  • Rotate caller IDs to avoid blocking or reputation controls.

5. System security

Customers must maintain reasonable security for:

  • SIP credentials
  • PBX systems
  • IP addresses
  • User accounts
  • Firewalls
  • Dialers
  • Apis.

Customers must notify Textology immediately of suspected compromise.

6. Call recording

Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable call-recording and consent laws.

7. Traffic monitoring

Textology may monitor traffic metadata and patterns for:

  • Fraud prevention
  • Quality management
  • Compliance
  • Carrier requirements
  • Network protection
  • Abuse investigation.

8. Verification requests

Textology may request:

  • Consent records
  • Call scripts
  • Customer lists
  • Number-authorization evidence
  • Business records
  • Traffic explanations
  • Regulatory documents
  • Complaint responses.

Failure to respond may result in suspension.

9. Enforcement

Textology may:

  • Block traffic
  • Restrict destinations
  • Disable caller IDs
  • Reduce capacity
  • Suspend service
  • Terminate service
  • Report activity to carriers, regulators or law enforcement.

Serious violations may result in immediate action without prior notice.

10. Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse to: report@textology.net

Include:

  • Calling number
  • Called number
  • Date and time
  • Description
  • Supporting evidence.
