Robocall Mitigation and Traceback Cooperation Policy
Textology is committed to preventing illegal robocalls, caller ID abuse and fraudulent voice traffic.
1. Customer due diligence
Textology may verify:
- Business identity
- Ownership
- Website
- Authorized representatives
- Traffic purpose
- caller ID source
- Telecom registrations
- Carrier relationships
- Complaint history
- Traceback history.
FCC rules require voice providers to take effective measures to know their customers, maintain applicable robocall-mitigation information and cooperate with authorized traceback requests.
2. Caller ID authentication
Textology and its providers may apply STIR/SHAKEN or related caller ID authentication measures where applicable. Customers must provide accurate identity and number information required for authentication.
3. Traffic monitoring
Textology may monitor traffic for indicators such as:
- Unusual call volumes
- Short-duration calls
- Invalid caller IDs
- High complaint rates
- Suspicious destination patterns
- Repeated blocking
- Known fraud indicators
- Traceback activity.
4. Traceback cooperation
Customers must respond promptly to requests involving:
- Call-detail records
- Traffic source
- Upstream or downstream providers
- Caller identity
- Customer identity
- Number authorization
- Consent records
- Traffic purpose.
Textology may disclose relevant information to authorized traceback entities, carriers, regulators and law enforcement as permitted or required by law.
5. Blocking and suspension
Textology may immediately block or suspend traffic when:
- The traffic is suspected to be illegal
- A traceback request identifies the customer
- caller ID information appears false
- The customer fails to cooperate
- A carrier or regulator requires action
- Continued traffic creates material risk.
6. Recordkeeping
Textology may retain customer, traffic and compliance information for fraud prevention, traceback cooperation, legal compliance and dispute handling.
7. Customer obligations
Customers must:
- Know their own customers where reselling services
- Maintain accurate records
- Use authorized caller IDs
- Prevent unlawful traffic
- Notify Textology of material changes
- Cooperate with investigations.
